A. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.

B. Terms Defined.

(1) "Applicant" means an individual or entity seeking a loan from the Department for the upgrade or replacement of an underground storage tank.

(2) "Department" means the Maryland Department of the Environment.

(3) "Fund" means the Underground Storage Tank Upgrade and Replacement Fund, which is administered by the Department.

(4) "Loan" means a loan made from the Fund by the Department under the Program.

(5) "Program" means the Underground Storage Tank Upgrade and Replacement Fund Loan Program, as authorized by Environment Article, Title 4, Subtitle 6, Annotated Code of Maryland.

(6) "Secretary" means the Secretary of the Environment.

(7) "Underground storage tank" means an underground storage tank as defined in COMAR 26.10.02.04.

(8) "Upgrade" means an upgrade as defined in COMAR 26.10.02.04.
