These regulations govern activities designated in Chapter 645 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1992 known as the Transfer of Human Remains Held by the Maryland Historical Trust Act and codified in State Finance and Procurement Article, §5A-339, Annotated Code of Maryland. This Act authorizes the Maryland Historical Trust to transfer human remains and associated funerary objects, including Native American human remains, in its possession, custody, or control to certain persons, groups, or places.
