Chapter 22.01.11. Employment of a Retiree by a Participating Employer |
Sec. 22.01.11.04. Employment of a Retiree by a Participating Employer

A. Immediately on employment of a retiree, a participating employer shall provide the Retirement Agency with the following information about the retiree's employment:
(1) The type of employment;
(2) The anticipated earnings of the retiree;
(3) The rate of compensation;
(4) Actual earnings; and
(5) If the retiree is employed on a contractual basis, the date and duration of the contract.
B. On request, the Retirement Agency shall advise a participating employer whether an employee is receiving a retirement allowance from a State system.
C. On receipt of a notice from a participating employer that a retiree has accepted employment, the Retirement Agency shall notify the retiree of the applicable earnings limitation set forth in State Personnel and Pensions Article, §22-406 or 23-407, Annotated Code of Maryland, and specify the amount of the earnings limitation applicable to the retiree.
