Sec. 10.42.01.03. Use of Title

Latest version.

A. An individual shall be licensed by the Board in accordance with Health Occupations Article, Title 19, Annotated Code of Maryland, and this chapter, before that individual may be identified as a social worker and practice social work.

B. The title "social worker" shall be used only by a licensed social worker.

C. Except as otherwise provided in this chapter or provided in Health Occupations Article, §19-301(b), Annotated Code of Maryland, an individual licensed as a social worker in another state may not practice social work in this State unless licensed by the Board.
