A. This chapter governs the administration of State grant funds to counties, municipal corporations, and nonprofit organizations for conversion, acquisition, renovation, equipping, and construction of assisted living facilities under the Assisted Living Facilities Grant Program, Health-General Article, §§24-1001-24-1007, Annotated Code of Maryland.

B. It is the intent of the Department that State grant funds be used:

(1) To assist eligible applicants with the conversion, acquisition, renovation, equipping, and construction of assisted living facilities, eligible under the Act in accordance with this chapter; and

(2) After the applicant has secured all funds available from other sources.
