Sec. 08.07.01.13. Plants, Rocks, Minerals, and Animals

  • A. This regulation does not apply to forest personnel in the performance of their duties.

    B. Except as authorized in Regulation .03 of this chapter and §§C and D of this regulation, an individual may not remove, disturb, damage, or destroy any plant, rock, mineral, or animal in a State forest.

    C. Timber, firewood, or other forest products may be taken from a State forest after a permit has been obtained from the Service.

    D. Samples of flora or surface rocks may be taken for educational or research purposes after a permit has been obtained from the Service.

    E. The collection or possession of animals shall be in accordance with Natural Resources Article, §10-902, Annotated Code of Maryland, and COMAR 08.03.08.
